Gilead's spin & Fauci's take make no sense. W/o a control arm, I thought this remdesivir trial would be worthless. Agree it's confusing! There was actually another "negative" trial out of China published today in the Lancet. But Fauci should be up on this, and touting the "pos" one so prominently while ignoring the "neg" ones seems suboptimal, even if the positive one had sup design. 1/

I think that's particularly true since the trial Fauci and the FDA are so excited about hasn't even had its data made publicly available yet. 2/2
