Let’s remember that the alternative to at-home testing is standing in a COVID19 testing line. That’s basically a COVID19 meetup and a great way to *create* positives. By stopping at-home testing, FDA is forcing you to risk your life to get tested. https://twitter.com/jdavidgoodman/status/1241011394717368325?s=21 … https://twitter.com/jdavidgoodman/status/1241011394717368325 …

Considering that 20% of health care providers are affected in Italy, going to a ER is the safest way to get infected

@balajis It’s actually standard gov protocol. TSA lines. Let’s take your clear liquid that might be a bomb and put it in an Aluminum shrapnel generator next to a line of 1000 people with all the other stuff that might be a bomb. Makes perfect sense.

I talked to someone who is on a board that oversees several hospitals in LA county and he said that ER traffic is way down because people fear coming into contact with a Wu Flu carrier. So for now, here, it isn’t a constraint.

traffic is down across the board (for now) but patients with ILI symptoms should not circulate through waiting rooms with regular patients. They probably also still won’t get tested.. (bandwidth, PPE gear)
