I don't know, but I *do* know that the number of (HFNC+Vents) is greater than the number of vents. so if we can use HFNC for some patients & vents for other patients, we're less likely to run out.

HFNC uses loads of O2. Hope the BOC man not sick too

I do wonder whether HFNC may worsen transmission risk since it humidifies and displaces/aerosolizes droplets. This was not seen in bacterial pneumonia but could be the case with viral PNA and URI.

agreed, but I think available evidence suggests that intubation is more dangerous than HFNC
