step 1 pass fail is a bad thing.
With less objective differentiators, public biases show.
Harvard gets in > Wisconsin. Man > woman. White > non white. Extrovert > introvert. Tall > short. Thin > obese. Christian > nonchristian

As a person of color I’d much rather take my chances betting on myself against a “biased” multiple choice test rather than roll the dice on the more subjective biases that bring us homogenous CEOs, corporate boards and upper management.

As just one personal example in every hospital I’ve worked at the majority of RNs were filipino- And yet how many make it to the leadership positions??? They’re non-existent. I would love to meet them.
