In the video below, I thought I clinched a FB in the eye dx with #POCUS. I see that there’s a hyperechoic irregular shape just on the conjunctiva that has a shadow.
Ophtho agreed. We sent the pt to clinic. But their (higher res) US didn’t replicate our findings. Weird.pic.twitter.com/KczTuLo5GS

What do my US people think of the video? That’s a FB right?

If so it certainly could be, but a tiny bubble of air would also fit. See how in one of the stills it almost looks like a tiny little A line? What's the story? If trauma/acute fb sensation it's sufficiently superficial that I'd expect to see a lesion on the sclera or eyelid

Yep, it’s what you circled. Story is a pt who works as a carpenter who was sawing sheet metal with a motor driven saw. Felt a FB sensation. Even says he pulled out a piece of metal himself Slit lamp with obvious conj abrasion/lac, the area has irregular fluoro uptake. - Seidel.

Definite subconj hemorrhage too. And the exam area correlated with the area that had that focus on US.

Could have, but on slit lamp I wasn’t sure about the FB given nothing metallic was obvious, but the area had recently been bleeding so it was obscuring my view. And the fluoro uptake was irregular. So decided to move to US.
