IMO If EM residents all spent 1 month on a neurology stroke service, there would be no controversy. It’s standard of care. Rehashing NINDS data is not helpful due to EBM compiled since this trial. I’m pretty sure all of

NINDS-2 and ECASS-3. I think the rest of the thrombolytic trials are different enough (time, eligibility, diff agent, etc) that they don’t refute the positive trials. So while that’s not huge a amounts of evidence many other things we do have less. And non EBM experience ofc

i think the evidence is weak enough that it’s unethical NINDS hasn’t been repeated..
