This might seem counter intuitive but an excellent way to prevent burnout is to read a little everyday, and learn to fall in love with studying. The more you know, the more competent you feel you are the less stress you experience on the job

I can tell you physicians I know are much more burnt out by frustrating metrics which don’t improve care, conflicting financial incentives, pointless administrative tasks, and lack of free time than they are by knowledge gaps. Most MD’s enjoy challenging medicine

Yup. The biggest draw to me going back to medical school, as a non-traditional, was the intellectual challenge and problem solving medicine would offer daily. Usually not the medicine part that peaks my stress.
