Why is nobody providing a standardised, Mono-based platform packaged for all common distros?

@mjg59 Every distro packager had strong opinions about FS layout, granularity, command renaming. Routinely break it. I gave up.

@directhex @migueldeicaza Ha right exactly my concern. Honestly would prefer Valve not to be driving this.

@mjg59 @directhex I dont know enough about this, but how is Valve driving this? I assume most Valve apps statically link their deps.
