"that group" has fixes in the kernel in 2019, too, that came from a gmail address with http://umn.edu on CC. Based on what that group has been doing, this could be a legit bug, or might not be.pic.twitter.com/PEPNkrvCdJ

I did a search of all patches that were ever sent to me (yes, I archive them) for any http://umn.edu address in the Cc, and found one patch from a gmail account. I scrutinized that one too and it was also a legit fix.
