Cute! b4 can pipe into 'git am' directly, here's my mutt macro that shows it in action: `b4 am -t -o - | git am -s` so you can drop your /tmp/ usage entirely and simplify your alias a lot.

I think this is my favorite this far, as the b4 output isn't dropped and not external scripts are required. With three approaches and my one being ugly, I think this blog post will get a 'The Good, the Bad & the Ugly' rewrite.
