Linux Kernel mentor program for Spring 2021 to help fix kernel bugs is now open for applications: https://mentorship.lfx.linuxfoundation.org/project/7671f900-a622-4bbc-956b-f4c336704478 … Help spread the word, the last two rounds of this resulted in loads of kernel patches submitted in lots of different areas and a few job offers.

the application portal says you need be to familiar with C and Bash, however the step 2 of the applications lets you choose your skills and I'm seeing a lot of Go and Rust developers that were mentees in the past

If it anything like the old Eudyptula challenge, you will learn a lot of fantastic skills!

It's better, people involved get lots of real fixes in the kernel, and it's a quicker feedback loop than the old challenge, which used to drive people crazy :)
