So... Ubuntu has been going towards ZFS for over four years now without any recourse. If Linux had a leg to stand on, wouldn't they be doing something about it? By now this just a small dog / loud bark thing, right?

Sorry, but this is no licence violation. Think what you might, but you are not in the right here. I have just as much right to do changes to your code as you. And just as much right to publish it.

I didn't change licensing of the code I publish, I just changed its behaviour. And I stand by my right to do that.

This discussion is here for years, it's neverending and doesn't lead to intended purpose. It's some kind of fanatism, which breaks stuff from end-user perspective. Just a war between developers with different views. Job for lawyers, which ignores specific end-user needs.

I like how Canonical just doesn’t care, too... and taking into account that they *are* corporate animals... They’re hiring younger blood and it shows :) Once upon a time political statements in the code might have worked *for* the community, but not anymore.
