I miss why consumers of a product should have the right to profits from the company that sells the product?

I miss that too. Should people who watch movies make some of the profits? What about people who listen to music? Anyone playing Activision games presumably reaped enjoyment from playing. Perhaps I'm not understanding the dynamics of gaming.

Wouldn't play to earn in online gaming just lead to more cheating & robo-play? There's already significant issues with cheating and players dropping off mid-game, this will only escalate ot further without proper protocols in place.
