So, what does it mean to let thousands die by negligence, omission, failure to act, in a legal sense under international law? #COVID19 #coronavirus

And I am being serious here: what is happening in the US is purposeful, considered negligence, omission, failure to act by our leaders. Can they be held responsible under international law?

The answer is yes, but as with most cases in international law, it will be more about political will than law.

If int. law applied to the US, George W Bush, (among many others) would be in The Hague. Int. law, like most law more generally, is designed to protect a few powerful entities.

No, Bush/Cheney pulled the U.S. out of the International Court precisely becsuse they were afraid of what could happen to them if they went ahead with their pet project of conquering and colonizing Iraq for its oil.
