  1. President Trump sent me this note today. "Greg — YOU WILL WIN BIG!" Great to have the President behind me 100%. We're both committed to keeping Texas RED & will continue fighting for the values that keep Texas the #1 state in America.

  2. Peaceful protest doesn’t include blocking emergency vehicles or obstructing access to a hospital. That won’t be tolerated in TX. & ’s legislation cracking down on protestors for obstructing access is now LAW.

  3. prevents cities from following Austin down the path of defunding the police. Thanks to Rep. & Sen. 's leadership — it is now LAW in the Lone Star State.

  4. I issued a disaster declaration along Texas' southern border to provide more resources to protect landowners & enforce all fed & state laws to combat criminal activities stemming from Biden's border crisis. In Biden's absence, Texas continues to step up.

In Texas, we support the men & women of law enforcement — we don't demonize or defund them. Proud to sign 4 different bills that will STOP cities from defunding police & penalize rioting. Thanks to members for getting this emergency item to my desk.

Today, Texas reported the fewest new confirmed Covid cases since I see them being tracked in March of last year. The 7-day positivity rate dropped to a new all-time low of 2.78 %. Covid hospitalizations dropped to a one-year low. Fatalities fell to 3rd lowest in 14 months.

But, there's more we must do to ensure a brighter future for Texas. Election integrity & bail reform were must-pass emergency items. I expect legislators to work out their differences before special session.

I will veto Article 10 of the budget passed by the legislature. Article 10 funds the legislative branch. No pay for those who abandon their responsibilities. Stay tuned.

On this we honor the men and women of our armed services who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. May we strive to live our lives in a way that is worthy of their sacrifice. God bless Texas and God bless the United States of America.

Election Integrity & Bail Reform were emergency items for this legislative session. They STILL must pass. They will be added to the special session agenda. Legislators will be expected to have worked out the details when they arrive at the Capitol for the special session.

The Biden Admin is failing. In the first 4 months of 2021, seized ~95lbs, or 21.5M lethal doses, of fentanyl. That’s an 800% increase from ALL of last year. Soon, I'll sign legislation creating a specific felony offense for the manufacturing or delivery of fentanyl.
