  6. I've heard of them, and even attended a Leadership Institute event back in 1998 The UNCCH situation isn't driven by national politics though, this a purely parochial affair with state-level personalities and objectives

  12. Oh the GOP was entirely correct, NC Dems were shamelessly corrupt (and a large number went to jail for it) But – as is so often the case in politics – they "came to do good, stayed to do well"

  14. Yes, using a taser is better than them just shooting him Sending 6+ NYPD cops with tasers, for fare evasion, as bystanders explain the guy paid, and then tasing him as he's being cuffed, is still excessive force that wouldn't be tolerated in a less-slavish society
