I don’t know how this is newsworthy. If I was driving at night and I saw that, I’d get confused too and probably stop.

the interesting part was that lack of radar return did not mean anything. I guess for safety that's not a bad thing. Also don't get too affixed to this projected picture. adverse picture that looks nothing like a car could make AP think it's a car too.

The specific examples of attacks can be resolved in a safe manner. The false curvature reading combined with detections and distances of on-coming cars and cars behind, and preset GPS data...to determine a safe corrective action.

I guess this is where lidar shines lol...

radar does an ok job too (of seeing there's nothing). But when X sensors tell you there is nothing and 1 tells you there is who do you believe if you want to be extra safe?

Again, what is the expected result? Tesla need a system to detect false video inputs? Remained me of these YouTube pranks of disabling steering sensing. Hoping Tesla will not be wasting time/effort countering these.

for me it was interesting to observe all the priorities in objects when only a subset of sensors was seeing things. A bunch of interesting experiments were performed. Now I know you can activate AS behind a bicycle, but not a pedestrian for example.

The exposure I had lately related to autonomous driving let me to think FSD is not nearly as easy as the big players have thought, I am not even talking about Elon, but all other players too. Something fundamental has to change if we are to see FSD in a timeframe we hope to see.

that's in general what I think too.
