    The idea that one owns land because their ancestor got there with a gun first, is the fiction underlying society. Tax land, not production.

    Earning an income is a signal of contribution to society. Income is perhaps the worst possible thing to tax.

    That doesn't make sense. You should be equally suspicious, with heavier focus on methodology and assumptions.

    The more data people show you, the more suspicious & intellectually vigilant you should be. Added to Ineq. Chapter.
