Are there any famous writer who use a command line text editor to write books, are there any books written that way? Perhaps exegesis?

A lot of fiction is very likely written in vi, just looking at MIT and CMU cultures at a glance, but if you throw a dart at a map you're more likely to get a msword or wordperfect user. People who live in the terminal (myself included)...
