At some point I'm going to *have* to write an arXiv paper with a title that starts "A Comment on ...". I don't really want to start an arXiv fight, but somebody's gotta do it

My advisor told me that if you call somebody out that you have to at least present a new model unless the errors are really atrocious .. is that your understanding of the etiquette?

I just want to point something out that I thought would have made a model highly suspect, but many people are pursuing said model regardless. I don't know if they don't know or they don't care or if I'm wrong.

One of the professors here feels much disdain for a lot of the modular symmetry models being pushed out right now, is that by chance what you're referring to? If so i could put you in contact with him cause he's thought quite deeply about it all
