I would not be surprised for the answers to be ill-defined without a bound of some sort, because the two sorts would drop off at different rates with distance from the origin.

preliminary experiments suggest the Ulam spiral and the Gaussian primes only intersect at 3 points. (When the positions of the former are interpreted as complex numbers)

or, it's the conjecture I want to make, number theory is deceptive hither and thither, more data points, etc.
