For what it’s worth, yes I knew I was gay far, far younger than 12, but some people figure it out much later. The point is showing kids positive examples of queer people, and telling them that being queer is okay, is only a bad thing if you believe being queer is a bad thing.

If you truly believe nobody under the age of 18 is old enough to think about their sexuality or gender, we need to redesign the entire world. Heterosexuality (to be straight) and cisgenderism (to be not trans) are *THEMSELVES* notions of identity kids are utterly surrounded by.

But I don’t think anyone really believes that, since nobody seems worried that kids are too young to decide they’re straight. This language is straight out of Section 28. Recognise that there is no LGB liberation without T liberation or all our rights will start to go backwards.

Some children may think they are straight by age 12 and turn not to be. Therefore we must ban every straight adult from schools.
