Trans women helped me become much more comfortable with the way I, as a cis lesbian, present my gender. As friends and a community they've been kind and understanding, and as inspirations they've emboldened me to be more myself. I wouldn't be the lesbian I am without them.

Holy shit I'm so gratified when women transition, I'm like "see! Femininity is so powerful, she knew she was a woman." I'm not completely binary but I know it's tough to be a woman, no one would choose this who didn't need it

Trans-inclusivity means one less barrier to having the highest possible caliber of people in my life and on my team. Trans-inclusivity means coming to understand my own gender and gender in general in ever deeper and more nuanced ways.

It also means usually having my lipstick on straight because I can look myself in the face, because who the Hell would I be if I thought trans exclusion was an option.

Broadly? Advocacy for gender expansiveness & bodily autonomy help me lots. But the question shows who poster’s community is- trans women are my friends, congregants, teachers. It hurts me if people I love and share a world with are hurt. Don’t need some quid pro quo to feel that.
