ehh. But his comments assume that all women want this circular life and now the fight for equality is over.

yep. I say in the piece that his phrasing was off. however, there are tons of women who want this. so he's not 100% wrong.

Gd point re: relentless sacrifice of Senior Dirs. My observation: if she's done it with kids, usually partner not in similar role

yes sure this is a subset of women who leave the industry, but plenty of women simply tire of years of not being valued.

@Independent I liked this. However you'd think a boss of Saatchi, a firm all about public relations, would express himself betterThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. Undo -
this is superb. He is speaking the truth. I know so many clever women who gave up jobs because of family and never went back...

Loved your piece. The poor sap probably doesn't know what's hit him. Pretty soon, no man over 50 will say anything publicly

I don't get it. Are we meant to be outraged and say "actually no, I always put my career BEFORE my happiness".

your article is ok but 20% of women don't have kids and don't want to be bracketed this way by him. Loads of dads opt out too!!!!

2/2 d'you ever wonder why there aren't any successful companies run by efficient no BS women working 7hr days? I do!

excellent article. Personally tho I think the 18hr day biz is unnecessary but a great barrier to entry for sane women 1/2

Brave, commendable piece. The merits of his opinions are a side issue. The real principle at stake is freedom of speech.

@Independent Have read loads in the wimmins mags about how women prefer to set up own companies rather than go for top jobsThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. Undo -
Roberts' fate reflects the prevalence of fragile female egos and unwarranted vindictiveness. Probably doesn't help their careers!
