@govtnz I'm from wikimedia, having 2 licences for your gvt sites are a bit confusing, consider using just one? we can't use any for now
@Cometstyles Thanks for getting in touch - could you explain a bit more? Which two licenses? And do you mean all NZ govt sites? ^AW

@govtnz cc-by is the only1 we can use and thus y many NZ government ppl have no pics on wikipedia.. USA is PD (free) and Oz is mainly cc-by -
@Cometstyles from experience (ie threatened with legal action): if you are not using the material for profit, you can use it like cc-by. -
@mrtempestwood ya with wikipedia,da licence needs to be very clear & we are obviously non-commercial (tho we can ONLY use commercial images)

@govtnz crown is very unclear&da lack of pics on govt.nz means the cc-by is a bit useless, could crown lic be limited to emblem/text only? -
@Cometstyles Are you referring just to http://www.govt.nz (our site) - not all NZ govt sites? ^AW -
@govtnz the 'lack of pics' is for govt.nz site but the licence request is for all NZGovernment related sites :) -
@Cometstyles We are working on clarifying the copyright statement for our site, though :) ^AW -
@govtnz sweet, excellent news :D -
@Cometstyles Your feedback was what brought it top of mind for us :) ^AW#welovefeedback -

@govtnz crown copyright and CC BY 3.0 NZ@Cometstyles -
Thanks, @mrtempestwood :) We can't stipulate what copyright licenses other NZ government websites use,
@Cometstyles ^AW -
@govtnz I would see those licences as complimentary. Crown copyright is a little more obtuse (1/2)@Cometstyles
