Can anyone tell me why YouTube dubbed this video about a Mexicali food truck that named itself after a Zelda village "inappropriate for some advertisers"? No swearing. No controversy. And yet it's banned from monetization. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIL-KfCg9KE … @YouTube @TeamYouTube @YTCreators

The automated scan looks at the title, description, thumbnail & tags before the video is live. If you think this was an error, please appeal, and you will receive an email soon on the review.

I tried to appeal. YouTube says I can't appeal until the video has 1,000 views. I'm not a big star; sometimes it takes several weeks or months before one of my videos reaches that mark. That's months without monetization. Is there another way to appeal?

What good is an appeal if you refuse to read it?pic.twitter.com/zpsvvkteHO

Now it's monetized again. I guess a prerequisite for human review is complaining about the lack of human review on Twitter. Thanks for fixing it. I've got about ten other videos that
@YouTube improperly de-monetized; should I Tweet about those too?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Hey @TeamYouTube, here's a video of me eating a McDonald's hamburger in Tokyo. The video's tags include scary words like "MegaMac" and "Tokyo." Why on earth was it just de-monetized - and why won't you let me appeal? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noDCoXlobQY …
