Before that, he was pushing a bogus clinical trial in which long term antibiotic treatment was to be tested as a treatment for autism. 3/https://respectfulinsolence.com/2010/11/23/luc-montagnier-the-nobel-disease-strikes/ …

It was so bad that the antivaccine cranks at
@ageofautism rallied to embrace and defend Montagnier from criticism. 4/https://respectfulinsolence.com/2012/06/27/luc-montagnier-hits-a-new-low-age-of-autism-rallies-to-defend-him/ …Show this thread -
And, yes, Montagnier has gone full-in for homeopathy. First, he published a study suggesting that DNA could "teleport." 5/https://respectfulinsolence.com/2011/01/14/the-nobel-disease-meets-dna-teleportatio/ …

Montagnier has also endorsed homeopathy. suggesting water could retain the “memory” of substances with which it had been in contact — and doctors could use the emissions to detect disease. 6/https://respectfulinsolence.com/2010/11/23/luc-montagnier-the-nobel-disease-strikes/ …

Ironically, Montagnier, who won his Nobel Prize for co-discovering HIV, appeared in the denialism propaganda film "House of Cards." In it, he claimed HIV doesn't cause AIDS if your immune system is strong and AIDS can be treated with antioxidants. 7/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP_q2VI9c1w …

It is sad, but Luc Montagnier has become a crank. Indeed, he is a victim of crank magnetism, having embraced a number of different forms of pseudoscience. 8/8

Argh. I forgot to mention. Last November, he appeared with Henri Joyeux in Paris to promote the idea that vaccines cause sudden infant death syndrome, one of the vilest of antivax ideas. 8a/8https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/11/28/the-nobel-disease-strikes-again-luc-montagnier-goes-full-antivax-with-a-little-help-from-henri-joyeux/ …

Haven't watched this. It keeps popping up as netflix suggestion as I watched What the Health. But was so frustrated with latter that I thought vaxxed would end up with me even angrier. As layperson in terms of science, I find it hard to find good docs about 'sciency' topics.
