My dad grew up dirt poor in rural W.Virginia in 1940s. Because he showed uncommon honesty and potential, the local catholic priest offered to sponsor him to go to Notre Dame. His preacher told him Catholic priests wear robes to hide their devil tails. No college for him.

I (ex-Catholic) dated an aspiring Baptist preacher and was invited to “fellowship” after the service. Naively, I accepted. People began convos by asking when I was saved. I didn’t know how to respond, so talked about growing up Catholic. I was invited to join & become a Christian
