can you reference your most convincing independent meta study of homeopathy that concludes it is statistically any better than placebo? remember, homeopathic journals do not count, as dont anecdotes.

Sure. If you can reference a decent reason why I should expend time an effort giving away my knowledge of
#homeopathy research to random people on the internet who also give odd restrictions on what data they will accept. Its like a gameshow. Research wars!2 replies 1 retweet 0 likes -

referencing a decent reason seems odd, but soncerely i am searching for an evidence based reason to accept homeopathy as a credible therapy. your answer has the air of arrogance and petulance - it is surely a mere trifle to help me with an anwser - if you have one?

This is the thing. I am harassed by random people on twitter all the time who ask me the same question, over and over. The real question is, why on earth should I hash out the same research,, expend time and energy to explain what they are apparently unwilling to go to pubmed for

Harassed is a strong word, but I do want to make sure that you are clear that CEASE therapy is at best controversial, and that many in the autism community consider it parallel to conversion therapy for homosexuality, and hope to ban it.

Matt, I could say the sky is blue and it would cause controversy. That is the level of discourse around this subject.

No. You are not a victim, and I won't let you get away with that. CEASE is based on a lie (vaccines cause autism) and has cruelty at its heart. It preys on desperate and conflicted parents, and harms at risk children. Should be illegal.

Matthew, are you trained in CEASE? Are you actually familiar in any way the the basis of it, why I use it, or what it is in fact based on from an emic prespective? Why do you presume to lecture me on it, based on a staw man advanced by skeptics

Here's my proposal to you: if you wanna prove it, I'll help you design a trial. We can have an autism advocate (
@stevesilberman or@EDalmayne, for instance) review our ethics. If CEASE helps kids feel better about themselves, I'll recant all my criticism.3 replies 0 retweets 7 likes -
Matthew, Cease is not as easy to study as Homeopathy. It is a long drawn out process, with an additional level of intervention and complexity layered on top of the already complex intervention that is Homeopathy.
