I don't care as long as their hygiene is OK and they wear sensible shoes.

I disagree, my PCP is often very casual and I don't think I've ever seen his coat on. It's easier for me to relate and open up because of this. My husbands neurosurgeon at Beumont had an outfit in that looked like it was in the thousands. It made me very skeptical of him.

Especially when he tried to schedule a surgery after 10 minutes on our first visit for the next week! Made me feel that maybe he was chasing dollars. My neurosurgeons spent an hour with me, discussing all options and outcomes. Ofc they were dressed suit and tie but not flashy.
