I've said it before and annoyed my friends, but I still reluctantly am forced to believe it. If the economy is decent in 2020, President Trump will likely be reelected. Not always. Being an incumbent didn't work for Jimmy Carter and George Bush, both of whom were far more qualified than the Great Orange One.

The economy is largely what defeated Carter. That, and his handling of the Iranian hostage crisis. The economy also defeated Bush more than anything else.
