A radio show listener emailed me last night: "Joe, I had to turn you off today. You were too negative on Trump & his budget." Smh. That dude would have been with me 6 yrs ago screaming about Obama's debt & deficits. But Trump's debt & deficits? He doesn't want to hear about it.

Respectfully, I disagree about the reaction. There are some that truly grappled with having a black man as President who weren't typical racists. They may not have articulated his race as the reason, so they defaulted to politics.pic.twitter.com/i0ADBnExCx

Doubling the debt from $10 T to $20 T with profligate spending is not racial. It was wrong, in order of escalation, with Bush, Obama, and now with Trump. Children coming of age now, from all races, ethnicities, and circumstances, will carry the burden of this irresponsibility.

Obama added to the debt to get the country out of a series financial crisis. Trump added just as much during a very healthy economy in order to...give yet more money to the already obscenely wealthy. Small difference. Tiny. But yeah. It's all the same.
