Fine, as long as you don't confuse absence of evidence with "possibility it might work". That is the fallacious argument you keep trying to make, and repeating it does not make it any less fallacious.

Absence of evidence of course implies there is a possibility it may work. Just as there is a great chance it does not work. Is absence of evidence really that hard of a concept to grasp?

It implies no such thing, as with the unicorn orbiting Jupiter analogy I brought up. It is a fallacious argument and nothing more, and the harder you argue about it the more you demonstrate that you do NOT understand the scientific method as you claimed.

It certainly does. Sorry logic seems so hard for you. I suggest reading a bit Nassim Taleb. It may help clear your thinking.

You mean the dude that blocks anyone who disagrees or uses evidence showing GMOs are safe and beneficial? I had the pleasure of being blocked by him over a year ago.pic.twitter.com/8rmgpN68Fo

Yes, I realize not everyone likes him. And it seems in your case the feeling is mutual.

It is not about like or dislike. It is about unwillingness on his part to accept evidence that contradicts his own biases and skewed view of reality. Then shutting people down who present said evidence. He creates his own echo chamber and refers to those on the outside as shills

The dude honestly thought I worked for Monsanto. That is not a guy I would hold in high regard for demonstrating sound logic.

Yes, Nassim Taleb is a joke. He trolls on Twitter and then blocks anyone whose criticisms start hitting too close to home. Suggesting him as an example of "logic" is akin to suggesting homeopathy as an example of good science.

No, he is not a joke. He is just a bit more rigorous with his statistics and logic than many physicians. Read his books, it really could help you understand many things better.

I've read all I need to read from him. He is a joke and buys into anti-GMO pseudoscience. He's also an asshole, to boot. No, don't get all sensitive. Even his friends characterize him as a jerk. https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2014/11/03/is-nassim-taleb-a-dangerous-imbecile-or-just-on-the-pay-of-the-anti-gmo-mafia/ …
