Methinks he really doesn't understand what quacks are saying when they say "alkaline" treatment cures cancer, does he? Hint: It's not what researchers at Moffitt are saying—or researchers whom I personally know who've published in this realm are saying either.https://twitter.com/larshaakon/status/962979268090368000 …

In quacks' lingo "alkalinization" refers to diet, "detox," and sometimes the injection of sodium bicarbonate right into the tumor. I have written on this topic many times. Robert O. Young and his "pH Miracle Living" quackery is perhaps the most famous example.

Cancer, and quacks, suck. There is no doubt about it. But anecdotes about patients dying after having tried this or that treatment certainly don't constitute scientific evidence one way or the other. That we do agree on, right?

Seriously. You are not understanding what I'm trying to say. What is being done at Moffit and what cancer quacks are using as "alkalinization" ARE NOT THE SAME THING. Also, it is up to advocates to show that something works, not to skeptics to show that it doesn't.

I understand that you are passionate. I understand that you've suffered a horrific loss. So am I. So have I, although it wasn't my wife. My point is to try to prevent unnecessary loss of life due to cancer quackery. It's a major reason I do what I do.
