Two people die in different accidents. One was in a car, one was on a motorcycle. Someone says "see, both equally deadly! 1:1 ratio!" But there was only one motorcycle crash that day (100% fatal), and 100 car crashes (1% fatal), because most people have cars, not motorcycles.
