Good morning. Did I disappoint enough people yesterday for a different reason than I disappointed so many others last week?

1/2 No, your brand has already been fatally undermined by your terrible handling of criticism of trans ideological influence on clinical practice. This is a shame - it looks like you do some good work in other areas (e.g. anti-vaxxer myths), but you're not now a trusted source...

Funny you should mention antivaxxers. Over the last six weeks I’ve noticed a lot of similarities between “gender critical” rhetoric and antivax rhetoric.

"I'm not against [vaccines/trans people], I just have legitimate safety concerns." "I'm worried that they might spread it to other people." "Anything less than 100% effectiveness is an unacceptable risk."

"but what about teh autisms!?" There's a slight difference there in that the conspiracy theories run in different directions. "Vaccines cause autism" and "autistic children are recruited into transness". Both are heavily anti-autistic, though.

Also heavily anti-trans, as I’m learning.

I'd be interested to see a venn diagram of conspiracy theories that identifies how they all overlap.
