This is a very bad take on DOs. I would’ve expected better from Kurt. In the US at least, MDs and DOs are virtually indistinguishable. It would be of no advantage to trade my DO degree for an MD degree. My degree didn’t matter to my residency program, either of my fellowship programs, my employer, and it certainly doesn’t matter to my patients.

Once upon a time, they were two very different philosophies of medicine, and therefore different methods of training. Over time, philosophy and training have essentially merged.
