Do reporters know this? I hope so. Because they should have a line like my Tweet above ready any time a politician or anyone tries to use HIPAA as an excuse not to answer this particular question.

Yes, someone like Greene can refuse to answer the question, but reporters shouldn't let her hide behind the lie that the question itself violates HIPAA. It does not.

It's not even the idiocy at this point that really bothers me, rather the gleeful embracing of idiocy. At this point she has no excuse to NOT know what HIPAA is, yet either refuses to learn, or enthusiastically plays dumb.
