Why are people still calling it the “experimental” vaccine when phase III trials were completed nearly a year ago, a couple hundred million received it, and we know it works?

It's a tactic based on emphasizing a legal definition over a scientific definition. From a legal perspective, still being under an EUA, the vaccines are by legal definition still investigational, even though scientifically they clearly no longer are.
