Wow. This level of obliviousness in the service of "anti-wokeness" is truly difficult to achieve. https://www.realclearscience.com/articles/2021/06/30/is_harvard_sacrificing_science_to_wokeness_783577.html …pic.twitter.com/bcvB3d2f8s

It is embedded in medical care. "Wokeness" is a term that identifies the user as a cement head.
Society is so complex. People don't seem to realize that saying racism is embedded doesn't mean ONLY racism matters, just that it's a factor. Just like looking at something from a Marxist/Feminist/X-ist point of view doesn't make you necessarily that.
Within my parents' lifetimes the government of Canada was systematically starving first Nations children in residential school systems to study the effects of malnutrition on child development. Racism affects science.
Nobody tell them about how anthropologists crammed beans into skulls to determine that white people had the biggest brains. Or how black people get less pain medication than white people. Or how etc etc etc.
The data is right there in outcomes - for example disparities in maternal and infant mortality. I believe those hold even when controlled for socioeconomic status, and non-race factors. The reasons are more complex than overt purposeful racism, but that doesn’t preclude racism.
^^ That is your statement of faith.
Why is it still there? Given that 99% of people are against racism, how can it still exist in scientific institutions? Is it all secret racists upholding the status quo?
Yeah dude has gone hook line and sinker for the new ideology.
I love these normal replies from a normal, neutral article that describes DEI as "infecting" academia and assumes that reforming Math 55 with DEI in mind necessarily involves "lowering standards."pic.twitter.com/LmJ4XXVbTa
