I didn't know that press release exaggeration as a source of bad reporting had been formally studied... Nice to see confirmation of what I thought is common sense/knowledge.

How can SBM claim to care about the quality of science reporting considering the unsourced, inaccurate article by Harriet Hall you published this week? The conclusions aren't necessarily the problem, the untruths and unsourced claims are.

The article even used classic quack techniques like citing statistics without linking to the studies they came from in order to obfuscate the poor quality of the sources. So disappointing to see SBM platforming the type of content they claimed to oppose.
