Correct. Even though there is some plausibility for #LabLeak, the arguments being made for #LabLeakTheory currently bear all of the hallmarks of a conspiracy theory.https://twitter.com/thebirdmaniac/status/1404550561232531471 …

I think you folks in the public-facing expert group are a bit biased against lab-leak precisely because it has some necessary conspiratorial elements and you’ve spent so long debunking and arguing against genuine crazies. It doesn’t seem it can be ruled out quite yet

No one—and I mean *no one*, including myself—has ruled it out. We have simply pointed out how much less likely
#LabLeak is than zoonosis. It doesn’t help that the arguments being used by advocates are a dumpster fire of bad science, appeals to incredulity, and conspiracy theory.3 replies 11 retweets 72 likes -

When you use bad science and arguments rooted in conspiracy theory, nuance gives undue credit to those bad arguments. The nuance comes in saying that
#LabLeak has some plausibility but that *right now* it is, as currently argued, a conspiracy theory. Because it is.8 replies 8 retweets 34 likes -

I can tell you have not educated yourself on any of the actual data. It’s dangerous when scientists are this ignorant of reality, follow dogmatic lines like a robot. It’s been know since April 2020 thanks to Virologist Luc Montagnier whom is more credible than your absolute BS.
