When you use bad science and arguments rooted in conspiracy theory, nuance gives undue credit to those bad arguments. The nuance comes in saying that

I feel there are a lot of parallels to the climate change arguments here - scientists are always comfortable in talking in probability terms, and 100% is too high a bar. But if there is anything < 100% all kinds of weirdos come out saying "Aha!"
