The main problem is that people tend to associate "lab leak" with "man made" which are on two whole different levels of gravity.

a. Probably true about proponents, but there's a very serious contingent that considers a breach possible (without being necessary) b. I'm not betting money on anyone's molecular bio. But we ought to be able to trust the analysis behind the Proximal Origins paper;

c. There ought to be a way to acknowledge that scientists we really need to have faith in - Daszak, Andersen - have not acquitted themselves well, without having to throw around the 'conspiracy' word.
