Harris, Dawkins, & even Hitchens have all made statements I don't agree with. Dennett, may also have said embarrassingly flawed things. No human is right 100% of the time. The difference of course being that as atheists, we don't have to agree with any 1 person 100% of the time.

It goes WAY beyond "statements I don't agree with" and "embarrassingly flawed things." Read the article. Or don't. Just don't try to convince me that these people haven't embraced right wing grift, because they most definitely have.

Sam Harris to my knowledge doesn’t have an issue with Muslims. He has always criticized Islam. The problem often is that ppl in the left have a hard time understanding the difference between these two. Criticizing or mocking Islam is seen as mocking Muslims, which is ludacris.

Bullshit. I read "The End of Faith" when it was first released, and Sam Harris most definitely had more than a problem with Islam, but with Muslims. His output more recently has been worse.

I run a local chapter of American Atheists. Most of our members are leftists, but we have a handful of right-wingers who are “anti-wokeist” and “anti-SJW.” They’re tolerated, but it has led to some lively arguments on Zoom and social media.

PZ Myers is the only “new atheist” that appears not to have wanted to replace God with white men. He was never a good fit with them; humble in person, unassuming, empathetic, and devoted to justice.

I'm not a joiner but I did read some of these men long ago, found it to be just a bunch of mental masturbation and chest thumping. I don't really trust people who say only they have the answers. That's part of why I'm atheist to start with.
