I’ve said it before and will say it again. I don’t know if I could handle social media if I were female or a person of color, given the abuse level they tolerate.

Conspiracism is wrong whether or not it is plausible. This will be investigated and will take time. The cranks pushing it are engaged in puerile contrarianism, ideological goals or anti-Asian hate. Even if by some bizarre chance it turns out right, conspiracism is still wrong.
