When @aetiology @gorskon attack straw men & turn off tweet replies, it suggests they lack confidence in their convictions. The question is simple: Is a #lableak plausible? Or is it a “debunked” “conspiracy theory,” as it was described by the media in 2020?https://twitter.com/htown_Joe/status/1400598827015589890 …

I mean, 5k people can still respond. I'm sure not all of them agree with me, but they're probably less likely to wish me dead or in jail for thinking spillover is more likely than lab release.

Then there are those in “our” side who are oh-so-hurt when you tell them they’re being useful idiots for conspiracy theorists.https://twitter.com/gorskon/status/1400580640555290626 …

Who is dishing out “abuse” to whom now? Talking down doesn’t make you correct. It only causes others to view your points with suspicion. It’s also *possible* that one who refuses to see replies simply prefers to live in a bubble in which they are not exposed to contrary views.

"Abuse"? I used mild sarcasm to make my point. If you're that sensitive, maybe this place isn't for you. Seriously, dude. Do you know how self-righteously obnoxious you sound?
