So can anyone explain to me why #FriendsTheReunion is such a big deal to so many people? I just don’t understand, and I be used to watch the show semi-regularly during its original run. Having seen a few old episodes lately, I was surprised at how poorly the show has aged.

Teaching high school, for a year or so now it’s had a renaissance among the new generation. Over the past couple of school years I’ve seen 13-18 year olds wearing “Friends” shirts or talking about it. 2 good demos- young and middle age career folks with nostalgia.

I just saw those Friends novelty tees in the junior section at Kohls. I was like that show wasn't good in the 90s but we didn't have the options we have now. Between Friends and Raymond or whatever I would watch Friends. They're trying to hard to keep Friends relevant.

Also, the 90s are becoming a fashion trend again. Seeing girls wearing corduroy and flannels again makes me feel old.

The fact that the gap between this this year and Nirvana’s Nevermind is bigger than the gap between Nevermind and the release of the Beatles first album makes me feel old.

Yeah, when I realize that music from the early 1990s is now older to today’s college students than Elvis’ early releases were to me when I was in college, I feel downright ancient.

Ancient? I feel stupid. And contagious.
