I’m definitely getting a city vs suburbia vibe here. City kids like the alone-in-a-crowd feeling: a subway car, busy street, crowded lunchroom. Suburban kids want to hang in their friend’s rec room for a slumber party.

I’m a city kid. I miss the alone-in-a-crowd feeling terribly…reading/working in a moderately busy bar was an under appreciated pre-pandemic pleasure, for me. Whoever makes the Slack equivalent that provides the good parts of the in-the-office feeling will get deservedly rich.

Parties get exhausting. I used to go to a lot. Just for networking. I called them an adventure in exhaustion. Cause I wouldn't get to leave until around the sun rising. I happily retired at 29. My heart was starting to bother me. I started working at 7, w/ Carroll O'Connor.
