Antivax activist @RobertKennedyJr has approvingly reprinted the @medium article on #CovidVaccine for children by @sdbaral, @WesPegden, and @VPrasadMDMPH. One wonders if they objected to an antivax propagandist using their article to frighten parents.https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/why-fda-should-not-authorize-covid-vaccines-kids-teens/ …

This article isn't as one-dimensionally anti-vaxx as the title suggests. I'm getting my kids vaxxed as soon as they can be, but I did find the article had some interesting points to consider. It's too bad they opted for an inflammatory header.

Unknowingly (I presume) the authors used some antivax tropes. (The appeal to the 1976 swine flu vaccine program is a *favorite* among antivaxxers, for instance.) It is not a "balanced" article.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/covid-19-vaccine-children-under-an-emergency-use-authorization/ …

I definitely agree and still spend an unhealthy amount of time trying to clear up vaccine misinformation.

It was a very bizarre move to purposefully avoid any discussion of COVID harm to children while bringing up the hypothetical harm of vaccine adverse events that have not been seen in millions of doses already administered to 16-18 year olds

Exactly. The article was anything but "balanced," and antivaxxers love how it echoes their very same arguments, even if in a bit of a watered down fashion.
